Delivery and Returns Policy


We aim to mix and dispatch most seed orders within 2-5 working days of receipt of an order and cleared receipt of payment.

Seed is sent most often by 1st Class Royal Mail or Special Delivery depending upon the pack size ordered.

This means most deliveries should arrive within 2-7 working days of you placing your order.

Special additions to orders, large orders and bespoke mixtures may take longer. Plant orders will often take longer due to the careful packing required and high volume of orders at peak times, please refer to individual plant product pages for current delivery estimates. Please note that these are estimates only, which may change, and should not be relied upon as guarantees or warranties.

Larger orders may need to be signed for upon delivery. If it is more convenient, you may wish to have the products delivered to an alternative address such as a work address where someone will be available to sign.

Delivery is only available to addresses within the United Kingdom.


If, for any reason, you have a problem with our product(s), please contact us at the earliest opportunity so that we can seek to resolve the issue for you.

In accordance with your rights to a “cooling off period” under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, individuals (but not a business) can cancel an order and return the goods at any time until 14 working days after receiving the goods to receive a refund for the goods.


To qualify for a refund, the seeds packages being returned must reach us unopened (sealed with their original packaging and labelling intact), of their original weight, and in good condition. We reserve the right to refuse a refund if we suspect that the seed or its packaging has been damaged (e.g. exposed to damp or heat).

For your protection, it is recommended that you use Royal Mail ‘Special Delivery’ service if the value of the return is more than £50.

Please take particular care when ordering bespoke or custom mixtures of seeds: the right to cancel does not apply to these products, which cannot be resold.

Perishable items

At our discretion, we will not normally accept returns or issue refunds for plugs, bulbs and 9cm pots, as these are perishable items.

If you receive an item which does not match the item ordered, please contact us immediately and do not use the item(s) or remove the item(s) from its original pot(s) and/or packaging.  We will arrange collection of the items or pay for their return postage, as we deem appropriate, depending upon quantity. When the plants have been received and checked, we will offer you the choice of a refund or fulfilment of the correct order.


We aim to supply seeds, plants and turf of high quality. However, since their use will be in conditions over which we have no control, we cannot accept liability for any indirect or consequential losses that arise by failure of the material to perform in the manner expected by the customer.
